“In 2006 at the age of 41 Andrea learned she had breast cancer. She joined approximately 2.5 million women in the USA who are breast cancer survivors. During her extensive research, the treatment choices offered for early stage breast cancer shocked her. Having her breasts removed as one of the treatment options surprised her the most.”
I met Andrea when she attended one of my Open Houses in San Diego CA in 2006. At the time she was working as a mortgage broker. We decided to start a networking group and soon became friends. When she told me about her diagnosis, I was shocked—she was 41 and had just had her 2nd child one year previous. How could this happen to a young and other wise healthy person?
Andrea decided to write a book about her experience giving hope and support to millions of women. “You Are Not Alone: Life After A Breast Cancer Diagnosis” will save you countless hours of research while offering you information relatively unknown by most women. You will learn about prevention tests that can detect cancer cells 6-8 years before a Mammogram, the BRCA gene mutation, the risks both young and older women face, what to do if you or a loved one are diagnosed with breast cancer and much more.
Andrea’s skill as an Attorney guided her through years of researching breast cancer and writing this book. She writes from a layperson’s and survivor’s viewpoint rather than from a medical perspective. The book, however, has been reviewed by 2 medical doctors. Check out the website to learn more.
